VALLEY HOME IMPROVEMENT JOB SITE HEALTH PROTOCOLS

A “crew leader” will be assigned to each job. Your project may have only one carpenter. Only the crew leader is permitted to communicate with the client.

Post with permit or at site entry point in easily accessible location, and share said procedures with clients, sub-contractors, or any other project related personnel. Reminders the client of the crew’s sanitary procedures and location of posted protocols.

Crew will wash hands or apply min. 70% isopropyl alcohol-based sanitizer immediately upon arrival and during the course of the day.

Exterior faucet using Valley Home Improvement hose, soap, disposable paper towels. Studies now showing soap & water more effective than sanitizer when used correctly.

Wash hands after:

  • restroom use
  • before and after lunch
  • when leaving site

Turn off water when leaving site.

Plastic dust walls to separate our workspace from our client’s homes will also help keep the airspace separated.

Those making deliveries and picking up debris will refrain from entering homes, unless what is being moved requires more than one person.

A mask or other cover of crew mouth and nose to be worn, as well as safety goggles and gloves when required. Preferably clients wear a mask as well when conversating with a carpenter is necessary.

Crew will have no direct contact with other carpenters, homeowners, pets, etc.  Crew will maintain at least six feet physical distance.  In situations in which workers are within six feet of each other for any period of time, all such workers shall be provided and shall wear Personal Protection Equipment (face shield, gown, gloves and mask).

Do not share tools unless they have been sanitized them between uses.  Assign different people to different tools as much as possible.

Limit one sub-contractor trade to the job at a time unless the specific task requires two people.

Crew will avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with hands. All employees must clean up after themselves. No person shall be responsible for moving, unpacking and packing up personal belongings of others.

Carpenter to wipe down door handles, light switches, other common surfaces before & after work with disinfecting wipes.

Where no existing indoor bathroom facilities are available, the jobsite shall have sani-cans and hand washing stations. All bathrooms/sani-cans and wash stations shall be cleaned and disinfected after each use during the workday. There will be a signoff sheet attached to the sani-can to document date, time and person who sanitized.

If a progress payment is due, please place a check in an envelope and tape to the door nearest the work area for our crew to see.
